About PODCASTING!

 I want to share with you one of the best experiences of my life: PODCASTING! 

Çimen (You can access her blog by clicking here) and i decided to make a vox-pop style podcast and randomly asked 12 people including students and academicians the question "Which district of Istanbul do yu think is the most liveable and why?" at our university. Everyone responded according to their own needs and lifestyles.


The majority preferred Kadıköy, but there were interesting answers in the meantime. Çimen and i would prefer Şişli and Kadıköy because we both think about transportation routes the most.

We had a lot of fun and socialized while asking random people questions. Although we were both shy at first, over time we became more open and relax in communicating with people. Personally, i can say that this activity increased my self-confidence. We had no difficulty in the thinking and implementation phase, but it was a bit difficult to put it on the site. We can improve this over time.

When i have my own students, i can assign podcasting to them as homework because i think socialization and self-confidence are very important at school age. I'm so sure that they will like it, there may be students among them who will turn this into a job or hobby. For example, Çimen and i decided to do this as a hobby from time to time.

THE END OF THE TERM! WHAT HAVE I LEARNED SO FAR?

Hi my dear friends! We have finally come to the end of this term. As an English Language Teaching (ELT) student, this semester has been transformative, thanks to the "Current Issues in Teaching" course. Coming from limited experience with technology, the course opened a new world of teaching techniques and material preparation to me. The "AR/VR Material" preparation assignment was a notable creating that greatly helped my career growth. While it was difficult at first, learning how to use the tools was quite helpful. It took time and work, but the benefits were enormous: I was able to teach much better and became more adept at incorporating technology. This course has improved my technical proficiency and encouraged creativity, which will help me be a more effective teacher.
